Birthday Greetings Mom!! There is indeed no one like you!!

My dearest Mumma,




As I grew up, I realized no one in this world is as loving as you,

A love that is unconditional and always willing to give more,

An embodiment of someone so kind, graceful and ever-smiling to others,

For people that remind me very often they haven’t met someone as humble and sweet as my mom,

For there is no one more special than you!

 

To holding hands when young and teaching to walk,

To the love for sports, you had and you passed on to your daughters,

For nurturing my love for skating and badminton like no other,

For supporting me whenever I tried but failed, you were my rock-solid support!

To take us on treks in the morning along with a bunch of cousins which was one of my favourite Sunday rituals,

For whom marks weren’t so much of a priority unlike others but all-round development was more important,

You are our biggest blessing and will always be!

 

For the values that you have inculcated in us,

For offering a helping hand to anyone in need always,

For your selflessness and the care you show for others is indeed remarkable,

Your motto in life which always reminds me ‘Nothing is impossible’ and move ahead,

To teaching me to see the goodness in people,

To never raising your voice on anyone and reminding us to practise Jainism as much as we can,

To do things for me without me even asking for them,

You are our greatest strength and weakness!


To always supporting my dreams,

To telling me to wake up early and work hard each day, 

To teaching us to be very ambitious in life and where sky is the limit,

To never give up in life no matter what happens,

You are my hero!


For this love shall never fade,

You shall be my most favourite person in this entire world,

May God bless you with everyone that your heart desires,

For you deserve the greatest joy and all the happiness that exists,

For the beautiful soul that you are,

Indeed there is no one like you!


Happy Birthday Mom!! May you have a lovely year ahead filled with immense happiness!!

To someone who was always there when we had a fall, To the first words learnt and a plethora of words that run in our head today,  To the hours spent on playground with friends without worrying about anything in the world,  To the little joys of finding an empty swing in a park that is more valuable than any materialistic things, To waking up in time for school to meet the favourite teachers & dearest friends eagerly, To having new dreams every other day & saying when we grow up we would be….! Pondicherry Diaries!!

As Indians, most people who are beach lovers are so fond of Goa and undoubtedly that place has its own beautiful charm. The next beach destination possibly that comes to my mind is Pondicherry which is in the South of India and the town has a different vibe of its own. It can be a paradise for people like me who have always lived in busy and noisy cities like Mumbai and Delhi. The calmness of the place, the spiritual connect and the heritage that Sri Aurobindo and Mirra Alfassa known as The Mother have left behind is remarkable. One needs to go there definitely once to see the city that has a different culture and life of its own.  They say no one can give you a tour of the new town more than the locals. I was lucky enough to have my aunt's family in Pondicherry whom I contacted just a day before going and they happily hosted me at their place.
